UGA Housing presents Divide In Concord

Green on the Screen will present the filmĀ Divide in Concord, about a Concord, Massachusetts, resident who is trying to rid the town of single-serve plastic bottles of water.

Jean Hill is trying to rid the town of single-serve plastic bottles of water. Complete with strong opposition from local merchants and the bottled water industry, Hill is leading a controversial crusade.

Green on the Screen is a sustainability film series in April sponsored by University Housing and other campus partners that celebrates some of the best recent documentaries focused people trying to make a positive impact on the environment. The series consists of four films chosen for the diverse ways they address issues related to climate change and scarcity of resources.

Covering topics ranging from innovative school lunch programs to large-scale waste reduction efforts, these films document the challenges and triumphs of everyday people as they work towards a more sustainable future.
