The 2018 EARTH FOCUS Environmental Film Festival presents Evolution of Organic

The documentary, Evolution of Organic, will be screened at 11am on April 21, along with, The Soil Story, as part of the EARTH FOCUS Film Fest. Academy Award® nominated director Mark Kitchell brings us the story of organic agriculture, told by those who built the movement. The film is narrated by recent Oscar® winner Frances McDormand. A motley crew of back-to-the-landers, spiritual seekers and farmers’ sons and daughters who rejected chemical farming and set out to explore organic alternatives. It’s a heartfelt journey of change from a small band of rebels to a cultural transformation in the way we grow and eat food. 

After viewing the films, there will be a question-and-answer period with regenerative agriculture expert Annie Martin, as well as Environmental Studies Professor and Geoscientist, Dr. Jenney Hall. This event will be moderated by Deadline film editor Anita Busch.

The EARTH FOCUS ENVIRONMENTAL FILM FESTIVAL is a full-day event that will also showcase green organizations in Los Angeles that include Heal The Bay, River LA, Sierra Club, Citizens’ Climate Lobby, Project Save Our Surf and L.A. Works

*All screenings are on a first come-first served basis for registered ticket holders. There will be a standby line in the event of no-shows. Please be at the theatre at least 10 minutes before the start of your film. Latecomers will not be admitted once the film has started.*
